One of my favourite things about giving handmade cards is seeing the smile on the recipients face when they open the envelope and see just how much you care about them, based on the effort that goes into the card. Therefore I would find it so upsetting if my card arrived to them damaged in any way.
Handmade cards are often more delicate and bulky than store brought cards so need to be handled with a bit more care.
Please note I would always recommend that a handmade card be delivered in person rather than being sent through the mail. This is the safest option.
However sometimes a card must be sent by post, and this can be done with handmade cards, as long as you take extra steps to ensure the card is protected. This could include bubble wrapping a card or using a padded envelope/Jiffy bag.
Another point I would like to make, is that handmade cards often contain multiple small embellishments such as gems and sequins. Therefore I always say that handmade cards should never be handled by those under 36 months without supervision.
I hope my blog helps you to find inspiration and would like to invite you to leave as many comments and questions as you would like in regards to any post. I will always try to respond to as many of these as possible.
Hope you are having a wonderful day,
Rebie x
