I make handmade cards. Any card posts made, are done so with the intent of providing inspiration and ideas for using various products or techniques as well as showcasing what I can make. All the images posted will be of cards I have created by myself unless stated otherwise.
If I ever replicate a card design from someone else and post it on my blog; I will have asked permission from from the person whom I have copied it from, and the post will contain links to that person.
Currently I have purchased all my supplies myself, or they were part of a magazine I had purchased. If this ever changes I will mention it both on an updated disclaimer post and on any posts containing the use of the supplies.
If I am aware of the magazine and issue number that a die/stamp set/embossing folder/etc came with, then I will mention this in the post; and if possible find a link for ordering it as a back issue.
Being in the UK, the main craft store I use to purchase my supplies is Hobbycraft. Recently I have started to purchase products in a store called The Works and I currently really like their products. I also occasionally find craft products I like in Poundland, WHSmiths and Supermarkets. I know that in today's world online shopping is seen as the norm and I am also aware there are numerous online only craft stores which post to UK and would sell the same or similar products to what I use, so would suggest to other people to shop around. I however rarely do this; as I work during the day and I am often not at home for a delivery to be collected, so find it easier to get my supplies at a physical store rather than collect parcels from a sorting office. I am fortunate that I live close to all the stores I have listed above.
Another benefit I find to shopping in a physical store, is that I can see the product before I buy it. I find it really hard to get an idea of what a product is like from a photo - I like to feel the quality of a paper pad or work out how large a die cut will be on a card. Even if dimensions are included online in a product description I still feel it is harder to compare the space with a ruler than with the actual product.
I do however manage to take advantage of online offers, by visiting a store, seeing physically what I want to buy and then going home to use a click and collect option to buy it. I find this to be really good with Hobbycraft and The Works as I am signed up to both their reward programs so regularly receive emails with online only coupon codes.
To finish, I would just like to mention that while I craft, I tend to have card making videos on YouTube playing on a loop in the background. I don't sit and copy any card that is being made on the video, but instead may be inspired by them to try a technique or purchase a certain product. In order to provide the credit that I feel these people deserve, I have included a list of the channel names below:
